Ann Lois Romney is an American author, philanthropist and writer. She is the wife of businessman and politician Senator Mitt Romney from Utah. Romney served as Massachusetts' First Lady from 2003 until 2007 while her husband was governor. A branch of the Romneys reside in the Mormon colonies located in Mexico. The Romney family emigrated into the United States from Dalton-in-Furness England during the 1840s. Mitt Romney, his son Mitt Romney, who was Governor of Massachusetts and a Republican the 2012 Presidential candidate and currently serving as United States Senator from Utah is also his father. Romney also served as the husband and paternal grandparent of Ronna McDaniel. Mitt was the third U.S. Presidential candidate from the Mormon faith to have been placed in the position in securing a political party nomination. Ronna Romney-McDaniel is the child of Mitt Romney. Romney McDaniel has been the chairman of the Republican National Committee since 2016. She was previously a Michigan RNC Committeewoman, Chairperson of the Michigan Republican Party as well as a delegates to this year's Republican National Convention for Donald Trump.
